THE stainless steel aerator for your applications!
The Type T Aerostrip was released some time ago as an improvement on the then current plate aeration. The idea of the rectangular strip came into being because the “cumbersome” plates of approximately 1×2 meters could in many cases not be optimally distributed in the tank. This means you unnecessarily compromise on efficiency, not to mention any difficulties with installation and transport.
The Type T Aerostrip is made of stainless steel and delivers the oxygen to the tank at an extremely low distance from the bottom (approx. 2 cm). Because this aerator is made of stainless steel, it offers excellent resistance to water and air flows with high temperatures. The Type T Aerostrip has a top connection. In exceptional cases, this aerator can also be equipped with a bottom connection, usually this is the case with a high coverage ratio and/or retrievable system.
Aerostrip® manufacturing
The Aerostrips are completely assembled in Austria, where the frame is made and the membrane is secured. The membrane is made of high-quality PU (Polyurethane) because of the advantages this brings. PU, unlike conventional EPDM membranes, does not lose its elastic character over time, meaning that the efficiency of the Aerostrip remains virtually constant over its lifespan. Each membrane is provided with extremely small perforations and each one undergoes a pressure test. The Aerostrips are each provided with a unique serial number, making the entire production process transparent and quality can be guaranteed at all times. Aerostrip aeration systems can be designed as a fixed system or as a retractable system.In addition to the common membranes, there are also membranes that are specifically designed for higher flux rates and/or industrial applications where clogging of membranes is a greater risk than with municipal wastewater. These membranes go through life as “Phoenix membranes”. This addition ensures that the Aerostrips can provide a perfect solution even for difficult situations.
If all that isn’t enough, the Aerostrip has a lifespan of up to 20 years with an average of 15 years! This is easily twice as long as conventional dish and tube aeration.
